Ocean to Ocean Visitation of the Icon of Our Lady of Czestochowa in defence of Life, Family & Marriage - Day 2 & 3
Day two in Walsingham - A small band of faithful pilgrims were up early to walk the Holy Mile in a Silent Procession to make reparation for all sins against life.

Press Release from the Diocese of Shrewsbury

Our Lady of Czestochowa arrived exactly at 4pm to a gracious and loving welcome from the faithful. The Shrine Director, Fr. Alan Williams welcomed her into the Slipper Chapel - place of the Roman Catholic National Shrine of Our Lady in England where she was incensed and the Salve Regina was sung. It was poignant that Our Lady, coming with a Mission in defence of life, family and marriage, should have her first stop here in Walsingham.

On Tuesday, November 6, at 9:30 am, the Icon of Czestochowa visited the Orthodox Church of the Dormition of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Chiswick, London. This church belongs to the Russian Orthodox Church abroad. The veneration of the Icon, which was placed in front of the main iconostasis in the center of the church, lasted all day. The "Akathist," which is the oldest hymn in honor of the Mother of God (Theotokos), was sung solemnly.

On Monday, November 5, Our Lady of Czestochowa arrived in London. After circling the city center, She reached the Cathedral Church of Westminster, which is dedicated to the Most Precious Blood of Our Lord Jesus Christ and was designed in the Early Christian Byzantine style at the end of the 19th century.
